    Ali (Rohrer) Peteranecz and husband Kit welcomed their third child, Luna Joy Peteranecz in April…and Ali is still stunningly gorgeous!

    Kelly Buriak Stevens welcomed a baby boy in August 2018. She started a new position with Kite Pharma as a Sr. Project Manager in July 2019.

    Nikki (Rodriguez) May and her husband welcomed a new baby in March of 2020.  His name is Ever.

    Mary Chaney has been BUSY overachieving! She has served as the Co-Pastor at House of Bread Ministries in New Market, Maryland since June 2003.  Mary is a licensed child care provider for Frederick County and has served on the Board for the Family Child Care Association of Fredrick County since October 2007.  She completed her Masters of Divinity from Christian Heart Bible College & Seminary in January 2017. Mary is currently pursuing her AA degree in Early Childhood Education from Frederick Community College.

    Sharia Barksdale recently passed her certification exam and is now a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) with the American Institute of Architects.

    Victoria Idoni has taken a television job as a Multimedia Journalist and Traffic Anchor for WTOL in Toledo, Ohio.

    Alison Peteranecz & husband Kit (who is on staff at Hood) welcomed their second son, Leo Albus Peteranecz, in May. Also, her rock star law firm, Antietam Law Group, was recently voted #1 law firm and she personally was voted #2 attorney in Hagerstown Magazine’s 2017 Hotlist.

    Catrina Wiles moved to Charlotte, NC from McDermott, OH in March and now works for Entercom (A Radio Broadcasting company) as a Business Operations Manager…because she is the BOM!

    MJ Swicegood ’13 married Geoff Huntoon ’17 on Sept. 30, 2016, in Clarksburg, Md., at Seneca Lodge with friends and family. Geoff works as a development intern at Mosaic Power in Downtown Frederick, and MJ just accepted a position as evaluation manager at Lonza in Walkersville, MD.

    Elizabeth (Liz) Jones received the Maryland Library Association Emerging Leader award May 9, 2014 at the annual conference, and has been selected to attend the Maryland Library Leadership Institute July 21-25, 2014. She and boyfriend, Ryan Allen, have also purchased their first home in Boonsboro, MD.

    Tionna Bright walked off the campus of Hood College in Spring 2006 and has spent her time enjoying motherhood (Dominic-7/Christopher- 5/Jayden-3), working Full-time with the FDA, and recently received her M.S. In Psychology from the University of Phoenix.

    Congratulations to Emily Odlum Andrews on her Oct. 8, 2011, marriage to Dr. Kevin Andrews. After the wedding, they moved to Greensburg, Pa., to open the integrative practice, True Health and Fitness (TrueHealthandFit.com). Emily earned her master of science in acupuncture and is a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Andrews is a chiropractor and their practice has been booming ever since opening in June. Additionally, Emily was elected the secretary of the rotary of Westmoreland (http://rotaryofwestmoreland.org) and has been active in helping the community through that club. Emily and Kevin are now also proud homeowners and added a third dog to their family––Jinx, Monster and Digby.

    Stacy Carrico Van Dyken earned her master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins Univ., in May 2012. Good luck to Stacy as she works on her national boards. Singleton Newman is excited to announce that she is now the programming director at Power1047.com. Power1047.com is a commercial-free hip-hop and R&B Internet station that streams worldwide. Listeners can download the TuneIn app on their smartphones and visit www.power1047.com to listen online. Singleton shares a big thank you to Hood College Blazer Radio for giving her a start!

    Nicole Beall Solich has recently accepted a new job with the U.S. Coast Guard as a financial analyst. She is enjoying her new commute and being able to be home more often with her husband Adam and their two dogs. In addition, Nicole has started her third season as the assistant women’s lacrosse coach at Shepherd Univ., in Shepherdstown, W.Va. Congratulations to Sarrah Kiermayr Yoder and her husband Joel on the arrival of their first baby girl, Micah Gracelyn, March 27, 2012. Elaine B. Owens ’06 became engaged to Jason Maeser of Elkridge, Md., on Dec. 18, 2012. They met through a mutual friend and both work in the same office building in Columbia, Md. Most especially, Elaine looks forward to wedding planning with her mother, Suzanne Bertier Owens ’76. The wedding is planned for 2014.
