“Hello Hoodlums!  Next year is our big 25th reunion.  I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since we graduated.  Seems just like yesterday!  Hope to see you all there!  In June, my daughter Julianna (Class of 2030) and I helped out at Reunion Weekend.  We had so much fun at the Alumni Lunchoen and driving alumni around campus in golf carts.  We chatted with many alumni and their family about their time at Hood and what they have been doing since graduation.  It is always a pleasure and rewarding experience.  Being on campus brings back so many fond memories!  So, if you have any news for me, please feel free to e-mail any time of the year!  I’d love to hear from you!”

Hello ’95 Hoodlums! I hope all is well with my friends. Please feel free to e-mail me or Facebook me anytime with your updates. On June 9th during Reunion Weekend, I volunteered with my daughter Julianna (Class of 2030) in driving a golf cart for the afternoon, escorting other great alums around campus. We had so much fun seeing and catching up with other Hoodlums. Jennifer Barbieri Casey ’98 was there with her husband Shawn and daughter Tessa (Class of 2039).

Christine Gavlick-Fuller, BA, RN, CAWM was appointed the Health Maintenance Nurse for the Department of Veterans Affairs two years ago.  And, she became a first time Grandmother in April!  Baby Peter Ernesto was born to her son and daughter-in-law, named after both of his late Great-Grandfathers! Beyond blessed!  My dear friend Jennifer Barbieri Casey ’98 and her husband Shawn are overjoyed with the birth of their daughter Tessa Anne (Class of 2039) on July 13, 2017.  I attended Tessa’s baptism with my family on October 1, 2017. Congratulations!  On July 8th, I got together with my fellow Memorial Hoodlums, Emma Frederick King, Kim Unseld, Jewel Smith ’96 and Quicha Tresvant Jones ’96 at Bo Brooks Restaurant in Baltimore, MD.  We had so much fun catching up and laughing like time never passed.  We have planned another outing in the near future.  On August 6th, I attended the memorial service of a truly amazing Memorial Hoodlum, Dominique Bustamante Thayil ’97, in Frederick, MD with fellow alums Emma Frederick King, Jewel Smith ’96 and Quicha Tresvant Jones ’96. Many other alums were there in support of her family and friends. Dom will surely be missed!  Please feel free to send me a message anytime throughout the year with your updates!

Aloha Hoodlums! I, Jacki Amato, started a new position at Rocchi Construction, Inc. as their Administrative Assistant in March 2017! A few weeks later, I met up with Jen again and Ann Price-Davis ’98 at the Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Department’s Quarter Auction.  We went home with some great prizes!  Soon I will be meeting up with some old Memorial friends: Kimberly Unseld ’95, Emma Frederick King ’95, Jewel Smith ’96 and Quicha Tresvant ’96.  Can wait for that mini reunion!  Please feel free to write me anytime with news! Hello, Hoodlums! I hope everyone had a healthy and safe 2016! Nothing can keep Jennifer Barbieri ’98 from getting married. Her original wedding date was Oct. 5, 2016, on the Carnival Victory, but Hurricane Matthew had other ideas. After Port Canaveral was shut down and everyone had to evacuate inland to Orlando, it finally came together on Oct. 8, 2016. She married Shawn Casey! Congratulations to the lucky couple! Finally, I got to see my Memorial girl, Jewel Smith ’96, after her return home from CA. We had a great lunch and visit, as always. Please feel free to email me anything throughout the year with updates!

Hello Hoodlums!  I had a great day at the 2016 Reunion Weekend Luncheon on June 11th.  My girls Jewel Smith ’96, Stephanie Sheck Bahr ’96 and Alesia Gallego Brand ’96 let my daughter Julianna (Class of 2030) and I crash their table. We shared Hood memories and caught up with new ones of our families. The weather was perfect and being back on campus is always fun! Please feel free to e-mail me anytime with your updates and news at jresop@yahoo.com! And find me on Facebook under Jacki Resop Amato!

Hello Hoodlums! It is our 20th reunion year! Time flies when you’re having fun. How has it been 20 years already? Seems like just yesterday we were staying up late writing papers and ordering pizza, eating lunch in Coblentz with our roommate, and hanging out in downtown Frederick. I hope the years have been well to you and your families! Rose Kavata Muli, who only attended Hood for a short time and eventually graduated from Bowie State, suffered a severe stroke in the Spring which took her life at the age of 42. She was living in Allentown, Pa. Her father was a GYN/OB in Nairobi. She leaves her husband Matthew Lamb, whom she married in 2005, and two children, ages 8 and 10. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Please feel free to email me anytime with news or find me on Facebook! Thanks!

    20th reunion, June 5-7, 2015
Hi Hoodlums! Can you believe our 20-year reunion is next year? Where has the time gone? Crazy! Julie Clark, a Frederick resident, has started her own business, Hello Baby Breastfeeding. She is working as an internationally board certified lactation consultant as well as a librarian in the local public library. She is busy raising two children and involved with a handful of community activities. Her husband is grateful to be distracted by their new German Shepherd Izzy. Heather Hamilton said, “After two years sailing the U.S. and Caribbean on our 40-foot sailboat, my husband and I spent a year in Thailand where I worked with UNICEF. I now work in London and have a new job as a senior adviser and interim global coordinator of Girls Not Brides: the Global Partnership to End Child Marriage. If anyone is passing through London I would love to say hi!” Please feel free to email me or Facebook me anytime throughout the year. I would love to hear from ya! See you in June!
