    Sarah Marcello is now working as the Corporate Communications Specialist at Stryker’s Spine Division. Elizabeth Palena graduated from Rutgers with a Masters in Information and is now a full-time Librarian. She attended the New Jersey Library Association conference this year. Laura Shriver Talis is still a Grant Writer in Baltimore, MD. She married Paul Talis ’17 in May and the two recently celebrated their one-year house anniversary in Towson, MD. Justin Fox started a new position as the Program Director for Summer Sessions at Georgetown University. Erin Murray is working as a Teacher’s Assistant at a special education school while pursuing a Masters in Infant and Toddler Early Childhood Special Education at St. Joseph’s College on Long Island, NY. Connor Asman thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2018. He started a new job in Northern Virginia as a Marketing Production Specialist for Ratner Companies. Jiselle Lopez is working as a Search Engine Optimization Administrator for Pearson Online & Blended Learning. She also adopted a cat. Jason Dagenhart has been teaching high school history for a few years and will be starting law school in the fall. Caitlin Fay Smith is still teaching first grade. She and her husband just had their first baby, a boy named August Monroe Smith. Javier Zavala is working as a Counselor and Case manager at Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership (SHIP) of Frederick County working with high school age students experiencing homelessness. Javier has also been promoting his mandala art in the Frederick community and had his work on display at Frederick Coffee Co. for the month of July. Michele Cirrincione finished her third year teaching and will be moving from teaching fifth to fourth grade for the 2019 – 2020 school year. Allen Paxton graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is currently studying for the Bar Exam and is working for the Cannabis Law Practice Group at Greenspoon Marder LLP in Denver, CO. Leah Hull has been working in healthcare administration and traveling but plans to pursue a Masters soon. Last summer she got engaged to Jonathan Moughty ‘13. The two currently live in Frederick, MD with their five pets. Lydia Emory joined the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in fall 2018 to teach English to high school students in Kagoshima, Japan. She plans to continue teaching in Japan until August 2020. Ashlee Metzger started a position as a Physician Assistant at a family medicine practice in Southern Pennsylvania. Lauren Miller graduated with her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and will clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera of the Maryland Court of Appeals. After, she will become a second year associate at Venable LLP. Yan Karavai is working as a Business Analyst at Fannie Mae and finishing an MBA at Hood. Yan welcomed a daughter in May. Cara Dye and Patrick O’Leary ‘16 got engaged in Italy this past November and are moving to Baltimore, MD. Cara is still enjoying teaching in Howard County. Caitlin Clark will be finishing a Masters at Penn State this December. After, she is considering moving to a new city to start her career in Organization Development and Change! Sienna Bronson graduated with a Masters of Liberal Studies from Arizona State University in May and has accepted a full-time math teaching position at GateWay Early College High School.

    Joseph Denicola earned a Master’s in Applied Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Laura Shriver bought her first home in Towson, MD and is still working at Moveable Feast. She is looking forward to getting married to Paul Talis ’17 in May. Sara Eckard has moved from Prescott, AZ back east to Staunton, VA to work as a Fire Suppression Technician for the US Forest Service. Emily Warren is going into her second year of employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Parole Agent in Philadelphia. Aubrey Fetters earned her MEd in special education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism and is now working as a Behavior Specialist for UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital’s RESPOND Program. Yan Karavai got married and is expecting his first child in May. He is currently a Senior Business Analyst at Fannie Mae. Maya Gonzalez is currently working towards a Master’s of College Student Development and Administration at Shepherd University. Dynise Bolden is going into her second year as an Accountant for The Library of Congress. Rob Millar is nearing the end of his Ph.D. in Gerontology at the University of Maryland Baltimore. Gabby Troutman started a new position as Virginia Grassroots Coordinator at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Richmond, VA. Nicole Curreri is attending Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine to become a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Mareca Williams is working in Finance for the Department of Defense and is halfway done her Master’s of Science in Project Management and Finance. Bailey Wright bought her first home and started a job at First United Bank and Trust. She is also working on her Master’s in Data Analytics at the University of Maryland University College. Kirsten Roy is finishing her MBA at Hood and has been invited to serve in the Peace Corps in 2019. Philip McCarty started his first full-time job as a Library Associate at the C. Burr Artz Library in downtown Frederick, MD. Ivana Soce Shuck continues to live in Frederick, MD. Started working as a Community Manager at Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. In December she hosted family from Croatia who visited the States for the first time. Shelley Hynson is working for the Public School Employees’ Child Development Program in Howard County as both a Director and Lead Teacher. Ricky Huerta continues to live in Washington, DC, maintaining his position in nonprofit communications. Grace Ciminera is finishing her final semester of graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently working as a clinician in an adolescent unit of an inpatient hospital. Sienna Bronson is teaching geometry and algebra III at GateWay Early College High School in Phoenix, AZ and is in the last semester of her Master’s in Liberal Studies. Michele Cirrincione is in her third year of teaching 5th grade and second year as Team Leader at an elementary school in Gaithersburg, MD. She is also working on her Master’s in Curriculum Instruction and Educational Leadership at McDaniel College. Allen Paxton will be graduating from The University of Iowa College of Law in May. Erin Murray is a Teaching Assistant at a Special Education school. Starting Master’s Program for Special Education in January.

    Mareca Williams is currently working as a financial manager at the U.S. Department of Defense and pursuing a masters at Drexel University. Rachel Vaeth started new job as an account manager at Waste Management. Arianna Delerme is pursuing a doctorate in Psychology. Tatyanna Hunter is living in Los Angeles, CA and recently got promoted to assistant manager of the Kids Department at Nordstrom. Lauren Miller is working for Venable LLC this summer and is entering her final year of law school in the fall. She will also be getting married on July 28th. Emily Plum will be attending Prescott College to pursue her M.Ed. in Secondary Education this fall. Mary Horabik is currently working at Historic Saint Mary’s City and College Park Aviation Museum. She is applying for graduate school in the public history field. Elizabeth Palena works as a librarian in her home town and lives with her boyfriend, two friends and pet snake. She’s also finishing a Master’s in Information Sciences at Rutgers University. Tamara Schlossenberg finished her first year of graduate school at the University of Maryland where she is pursuing a dual master’s in Applied Anthropology and Historic Preservation. This summer, she is going to Ireland. Sienna Bronson is pursuing a Master’s in Liberal Studies at Arizona State University-Tempe Campus, as well as working part-time tutoring in mathematics and volunteering to teach math in a women’s prison once a week. Lexi Cook is currently working as an archival assistant at Heritage Frederick, the historical society of Frederick County. She just completed her first semester of graduate school in the University of Maryland where she is pursuing a Master’s of Library and Information Science with a specialization in Archives and Digital Curation. This summer she is taking an online certificate program in genealogical research through Boston University. Rebecca DeLauter just started her first full-time position as an IT consultant for General Dynamics, a contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense in Frederick, MD. She and her boyfriend just bought their first house in Charles Town, WV. Kirsten Roy just finished her second year of the Hood MBA program. Erin Murray will be pursuing a Master’s of Special Education at Hunter College in the fall. Ivana Soce Shuck just finished her first year of the Hood MBA program. She recently married Peter Shuck and the two bought a house in Frederick, MD. Ingrid Gooch took a yearlong fellowship position with the National Cancer Institute with the National Institute of Health and is now returning to Hood to pursue a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Noel Jones just finished his Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Baltimore and started as a personnel research psychologist at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Natalie Jones is finishing her AmeriCorps VISTA term with CASA in Colorado and is moving to Vermont to start graduate level classes with the Yestermorrow Sustainable Design and Build School. Nicole Wilson Samen and her husband bought their first home. Laura Shriver got engaged to her boyfriend of 5 years, Paul Talis ’17. The two bought a house. Destani Jameson graduated with her Master’s in Public Administration from American University. She is now working as a procurement and purchasing manager at Hilltop Consultants. Hannah Thompson Gray married Matthew Gray in May, and the two traveled to Iceland for their honeymoon. In June, Hannah started a new job as Proposal Editor for Conduent in Germantown, MD. Sara Eckard has just completed two service terms as a team leader with AmeriCorps NCCC. She is now a certified Wildland Firefighter working in Prescott National Forest in Arizona. Laura Lokey is the senior marketing & events coordinator for a technology company called UZIO, Inc. in Reston, VA.

    Hello Class of 2016! In the past few months our classmates have been busy tying the knot, working on master’s degrees, and taking the next steps in their careers. Ivana Soce has returned to Hood for her MBA and is working as a Graduate Ambassador with the Hood Admissions Office. Amber George got engaged to Victoria Wright and the two will tie the knot next November. Joseph Denicola is finishing fall semester of his second year in the Complex Biosystems PhD program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He also adopted a cat named Tripoli. Sarah Hawker-Topper currently works at a learning center teaching toddlers. Since graduation, she has gotten married and had a baby. Ian Jenkins returned to Maryland and accepted a position as a Government Affairs Coordinator with AdvaMed. Jason Dagenhart is teaching at Perry Hall High school in Baltimore County. Dynise Bolden is completing her first year at the Department of Health and Human Services. She joined the Young Adult, Basketball and Trustee Ministry. Colleen McKitrick moved to southern Virginia, and started a new job riding and working for an Olympic equestrian. Destani Jameson started a new role in July as a Financial Operations Specialist. She is also finishing her Master of Public Administration at American University. Leah DiGiovanni started a new job at Lakelands Park Middle School in October. Additionally, she started graduate school at Hood for School Counseling. Erin Murray is working as an AmeriCorps Tutor with Great Oaks Charter School in Bridgeport, CT. She tutors 6th and 7th graders math during the school day to help bridge the achievement gap. Alexis Andrukat-Price accepted a new role as the Marketing Manager for the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, MD. Hannah Thompson got engaged in June, and is planning her wedding for early May 2018. She started working as Proposal Coordinator for R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. in August. Olivia Lacher got engaged to Joe Wixted and the two will be getting married next November in Virginia. Samantha Slick is finishing up her second year of grad school for Clinical Counseling at Hood. Natalie Jones is working in Montrose, Colorado as an AmeriCorps VISTA for CASA of the 7th Judicial District as a Micro-Home Program Assistant. She is raising funds for a micro-home community serving youth emancipating out of the local foster care system. Richard Huerta is working in communications for a healthcare nonprofit in Washington, DC. Nicole Wilson married George Samen Jr. on September 25, 2017. Curtis Stubbs is working for Northrop Grumman as a Procurement Contracting Official. Amber Bonnette got engaged and has a baby on the way. She is working for the Department of Corrections. Sharia Barksdale recently passed her certification exam and is now a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) with the American Institute of Architects.

    Hello Class of 2016! It’s been a full year since graduation. Caitlin Fay is getting married this summer and in the fall she will be starting her second year of teaching first grade in Montgomery County, MD. Jiselle Lopez is working at a digital marketing company in Bethesda, MD. Alexis Andrukat accepted the events and marketing coordinator position with Item America in Hagerstown, MD. She recently married Julia Price, the two live with their dog in Hagerstown, MD. Nathaniel Leighton is working as a compliance analyst at AffirmX. He is also looking to get his master’s degree in public administration. Theresa Sharp is working as a Social Service Assistant at a skilled nursing facility in Berryville, VA. Tamara Schlossenberg has been in AmeriCorps NCCC since October. She is currently providing flood relief in Southern Missouri before finishing in St. Louis and returning home in July. Roberto Millar just completed his first year as doctoral candidate at UMB. He is also working on submitting papers for publication. Lauren Miller is entering her second year at the UMD, Francis King Carey School of Law and will be interning with the Office of Administrative Hearings this summer. Sienna Bronson has been working as a mathematics instructor at Mathnasium in Richmond, VA. In the fall, she will be attending Arizona State University to pursue a doctorate in mathematics. Melissa Lopez-Davila is pursuing her master’s degree in forensic psychology. Nicole Wilson got engaged to George Samen Jr. Lydia Emory will be staying in Madrid, Spain for another year teaching English to high school students. Elizabeth Palena is currently working on her master’s degree in library science and is working as a teen librarian in Somerset County, MD. Kirsten Roy finished her first year of the MBA program at Hood. Shannon McHale is currently teaching special education at West Frederick Middle School and coaching the boys varsity swim team at Urbana High School. Owen Rosier purchased a home in Frederick with Sarah Tapscott ’15. Ian Jenkins started graduate school at Penn State World Campus for his master’s degree in public administration. Samuel Pierre is working for a bio-pharmaceutical company in Florida. Joseph Denicola is starting his second year as a doctoral candidate in the complex biosystems program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Laura Shriver has earned an online certificate in grant writing from the University of Notre Dame. Laura is currently working at Moveable Feast writing grants!

    Hello Class of 2016! It’s been almost six months since we gathered together on the quad for Commencement. We all have experienced a lot of exciting change since graduation. Scott Poole got a job as an Art Teacher with FCPS and will be starting graduate school at Hood. Sara Eckard is serving as a Team Leader for AmeriCorps NCCC Southern Region. Rob Millar is a recent homeowner and is attending graduate school at the University of Maryland. Shelley Hynson is a teacher at the Goddard School in Columbia, MD. Tracy Forcino moved to Monterey, CA and is completing a Veterinary Technician Certification. Cody Haas is working as a Software Engineer with American Electronic Warfare Associates. Kirsten Roy is the Accounts Payable Coordinator at Hood and is pursuing her MBA at Hood. Jane Blankenship is pursuing her MSN and working at FMH and Kaiser Permanente as a RN. Sienna Bronson is working as a Mathematics Instructor at Mathnasium. She is preparing to apply to graduate programs. Katie Misuraca is working as an On-Air News Reporter with WHAG-TV in Hagerstown. Olivia Lacher has moved to Williamsburg, VA and works giving tours at the Jamestown-Yorktown. Allen Paxton is attending The University of Iowa College of Law. Lew Dean is working as Securities Analyst at Wells Fargo in Gaithersburg, MD. Caitlyn O’Neil is teaching English in South Korea through the TaLK program. Erin Murray is working with AmeriCorp NCCC Southwest region. Yan Karavai is attending graduate school at Hood and working at Wells Fargo Corporate Trust as a Mortgage Backed Securities Analyst. Hannah Thompson is working as a Production Assistant with National Geographic Channels in Washington DC. Noel Jones is pursuing a masters in Industrial Psychology at the University of Baltimore. He is also work as a graduate fellow and the University’s Schaefer Center for Public Policy. Laura Lokey is working for the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce where she is in charge of the Marketing & Communications Department. Audra Pieranunzi is working at the Army Audit Agency at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Lydia Emory Is teaching English in Spain through the Fulbright Program. Destani Jameson is working as a Program Specialist at American University School of Public Affairs. She is also attending American University for a Masters in Public Administration. Richard Hershey graduated BOLC and getting deployed to the Middle East. Amber Bonnette is working at the Department of Corrections and will start Training Academy soon. Joseph Denicola finished his first semester in the Complex Biosystems PhD Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Justin Riley is working as a Kindergarten Special Education Teacher at Deep Run Elementary School in Howard County, MD. Katelyn Sims is working as an Elementary Special Education Teacher for Carroll County Public Schools. Lyly Tial has been working full-time since January and got married in October. Kimberly DeShazor is a night Charge Nurse on medical surgical floor at FMH and works with nursing students at Hood. She is also pursuing her masters in Leadership/Education from APUS. Mary Horabik has interned at James Madison’s Montpelier, volunteered at Jefferson Patterson Park, Alexandria Museum of Archaeology and visited Crow Canyon Archaeology Center. She is currently interning with the National Park Service. Ashlee Metzger is attending graduate school at Shenandoah University for the Physician Assistant Program. Nichole Beck is working as a Legal Assistant for a law firm in Frederick and Montgomery counties. Elizabeth Vasquez is working as a Teacher and will be starting a Masters Program in Special Education in the fall. Jonathan Bullard-Sisken is working as an Emergency Department Technician at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Tatyanna Hunter is working at Nordstrom. She plans to move to Los Angeles, CA next year to pursue a fashion correspondent career. Elizabeth Palena is working as a Teen Librarian for a public library and substitute teaching in her hometown. Justin Fox is working at Georgetown University as a Program Coordinator for Summer and Special Programs. Ian Jenkins was on the campaign trail with Hillary for America as an Advance Associate. Natalie Peake moved to San Diego, CA. She gave birth to her daughter, Lorraine, on November 27. Connor Asman is working as a Direct Mail Loyalty Marketing Associate at Healthy Directions. Brooke Wallace is working as a Kindergarten Teacher for AACPS. Samantha Slick is pursuing her masters in Clinical Counseling at Hood. Ana Filipovic works for TalentCMO as a Digital Marketer, serves on IHA board, and is recently engaged. Ammarah Spall I started a full-time job as a research associate at the Navy Medical Research Center after graduation. I will be starting medical school next fall and continuing my dream of becoming a physician. Owen Rosier is working as a Software Developer in Columbia, MD. Caitlin Clark is working as a Technical Recruiter at ALTEK. She also adopted a dog. Kathryn Jones is working at U.S. Pharmacopeia as an Associate Lab Technician. Aubrey Fetters is starting graduate school at California University of Pennsylvania to earn a MEd in Special Education/Autism Track and has a graduate assistant position. Elliot Tombs is leaving in April to serve in the Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia. Zach Payne is working as an Administrative Assistant at PlanVest Financial and studying for the Series 7 Exam. Krista Schline is a Mental Health Coordinator/Psychiatric Rehabilitation and plans on applying to graduate schools. She also purchased a new car.
